The Iron will host Sky Bet League One side Lincoln City on Tuesday, July 27th as part of their pre-season plans next month.
Michael Appleton brings his Imps side to the Sands Venue Stadium for a 7.30pm kick-off, with the game forming part of Neil Cox's schedule over the course of July when the players return to prepare for the 2021-22 season.
The two teams met twice last season, both at the LNER Stadium. United faced Lincoln in a behind-closed-doors pre-season friendly in August before again travelling away for the Papa John's Trophy group stage match, the latter of which finished 1-1.
The last time both clashed at the Sands Venue Stadium was in pre-season in 2019 when goals from Adam Hammill and Regan Slater sealed a 2-0 home win.
