The 28-year-old arrives in North Lincolnshire fresh from winning promotion with the Shrimps in his eighth and final campaign with the side and pens a one-year deal with the Iron.
He began his career with Premier League side Everton in their academy before leaving the club in 2008. before fighting his way back to playing in professional football via Chorley, Lancaster City and Stockport County. In 40 appearances at the latter, he scored three goals.
Kenyon would then move to the west coast, remaining there for two years short of a decade. He clocked up a total of 269 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine league goals.
His final appearance for Morecambe came at Wembley Stadium at the end of May when the side edged past Newport County to take the final promotion place.
