Seb Stockbridge has been appointed as the referee for Tuesday night's home pre-season clash against Lincoln City.
The Tyne-based official will travel to the Sands Venue Stadium in preparation for his ninth in in the EFL.
He's taken charge of Scunthorpe matches on no fewer than 14 previous occasions. His last two encounter involving United have been home matches against Exeter City. The last saw the Grecians win 2-0 but the Iron won the one in the season prior in October 2019.
Of those 14 games, 10 have come at the Sands Venue Stadium. In those previous games, he's shown a total of 51 yellow cards and one red.
Meanwhile, his involvement with Lincoln City fixtures first came in November 2011 when he oversaw their 2-1 win over Barrow in the National League. Four yellows were issued in the game. He's taken charge of 10 Lincoln games in total, issuing 30 yellow cards and four reds.
Last season, he has refereed 31 games, shown 100 yellow cards and four reds.
On Tuesday, he will be assisted by Graeme Fyvie and Simon Clayton, while Rob Atkin has been appointed as the fourth official.
