The first fixture on the schedule will see United welcome City to the Sands Venue Stadium for the third season in a row on Tuesday, August 24th.
That match has been arranged in accordance with the invited side's schedule, but should the Iron progress to Round Two of the Carabao Cup, that fixture will take preference, meaning the encounter against the Citizens would be arranged. A back-up date is yet to be agreed.
Scunthorpe will then travel to the New York Stadium for their second encounter, facing Rotherham United on Tuesday, October 5th before entertaining Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday, November 9th. All three matches are scheduled to kick-off at 7pm.
