Scunthorpe United is delighted to have signed experienced midfielder Jem Karacan on a free transfer until the end of the season, subject to international clearance and EFL ratification.
The 31-year-old Turk began his career at Reading, spending time on loan at AFC Bournemouth and Millwall during his spell at the Madejski Stadium.
While there between 2007 and 2015, he made 175 appearances in all competitions, scoring 12 times.
Karacan then moved to his homeland, playing for Galatasaray and Bursaspor (on loan) before moving back to England, where he turned out for Bolton Wanderers and Millwall.
Last season he played for Central Coast Mariners in Australia and has been training with the Iron since November, getting his fitness up.
