Scunthorpe United can confirm the plans for the club's matchday programme for the 2020-21 season.
Our first issue of the campaign will be for the home League Two season opener against Newport County next Saturday, and 12th Man members who have filled in our COVID-19 questionnaire and declared they'd prefer a physical copy will receive the programme in the post in advance of the game from Ignition Publications, who print and design our matchday magazine. Please note, while they will be produced on a schedule that allows them to arrive before kick-off, this cannot be guaranteed as we rely on Royal Mail meeting their normal performance standards.
If your current home address or email details have changed from what the club has on record, please send an email as soon as possible to sufctickets@scunthorpe-united.co.uk.
12th Man members will also receive an individual code via email in advance of the match to access an online version of the programme on matchday. We strongly encourage those supporters to add sufctickets@scunthorpe-united.co.uk to their address book to try and avoid the emails going into their junk mail.
The programme will also be available to buy online for £3 for non-season ticket holders. The link to purchase the online programme will be provided when we promote the publication ahead of matches.
Additionally, we will have physical copies of the programme on sale from our club shop after the game has been played. At present, our club shop is open between 10am and 3pm on Wednesdays. We will also sell physical issues online via www.sufcshop.com, and these will be posted out ASAP by shop staff (subject to reduced working hours and when the programmes arrive with us from Ignition).
Under current government guidance relating to the re-opening of stadiums to spectators during the COVID-19 pandemic, when crowds return clubs are being strongly discouraged from distributing physical programmes in their grounds on a matchday so we see this as a measure to still provide the memento of a matchday programme to 12th Man members and supporters during these unprecedented times.
On occasions when we have two home league matches in quick succession (a Tuesday followed by a Saturday for instance) there will be a joint programme to cover both games due to the much earlier print deadlines caused by this situation, which would result in vast sections of the latter programme being out of date if they were being produced individually.
The club will review the programme situation on a weekly basis throughout the season.
Please note, there will be no matchday programme issued for the Carabao Cup first round clash against Port Vale on Saturday, September 5th.
