Iron duo Charlie Barks and Fin Shrimpton have joined Northern Premier League Division One South East side Frickley Athletic on loan for an initial month.
Both 18-year-olds link up with Dave Frecklington’s men to get extra game time, but the nature of the loan and the level of the Blues means both will still be eligible to play with the Under-23s side.
The pair arrive at Frickley in time for their away league encounter at Newcastle Town before their first chance of home action coming at Westfield Lane against Belper Town on September 29th.
