Under-23s defender Jo Cummings has joined Northern Premier League Premier Division side Radcliffe on loan until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old links up with Lee Fowler's side, who currently sit in 16th position out of 22 in their division, following their promotion via the play-offs last season. The Boro's most recent game came in midweek at the Iron's local side Gainsborough Trinity where they lost 4-1, with a side that includes former captain Stephen Dawson and further league experience in Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro, who scored against Trinity on Tuesday.
Cummings was signed as a central defender from Charlton Athletic last summer as an addition to Russ Wilcox's Under-23s side. Sheffield-born, he was previously at the Blades as a youngster and has also been on loan at Guiseley.
He links up with the side ahead of their home league encounter against Nantwich Town at the Neuven Stadium at the weekend.
