The Rutland-based official will travel to the Banks's Stadium for his 15th game of the campaign and fifth in Sky Bet League Two. The current campaign is Kettle's 18th in the EFL.
His first game of the campaign was Coventry City's 1-0 away win at Milton Keynes Dons in the Carabao Cup, despite a 27th minute red card for the Sky Blues. Five cautions and one dismissals were observed in the match. Meanwhile, his last match was on December 19th as he took charge of another 1-0 away win, this time for Salford City at Harrogate Town. He showed four yellow cards on the day.
He was last appointed to an Iron game back in October 2019 when the side beat Northampton Town 3-0 thanks to three first-half goals. Jamie Proctor and Ryan Colclough were cautioned for United, while Vadaine Oliver saw red for the visitors for a challenge on goalkeeper Rory Watson, which saw the shot stopper go off injured.
In total, he's taken charge of 21 Scunthorpe United matches over a 15-year spell, issuing a total of 69 yellow cards and four reds.
Meanwhile, he's refereed Walsall on 19 occasions, most recently last October when they lost 3-0 at home to Salford City. Across those 19 games, he's shown 63 yellow cards and four reds.
In 2019-20, he took charge of 28 games, issuing 105 yellow cards and nine reds. So far in this campaign, he has officiated in 14 encounters, showing 37 yellows and two red cards.
On Tuesday, he will be assisted by Grant Taylor and Danny Gratton, while Simon Shaw has been appointed as the fourth official.
