Following the completion of the League Two line-up for 2019-20, sponsors Sky Bet have released their odds ahead of the campaign.
The Iron are fourth-favourites to be Champions of League Two, while also being placed fourth to gain promotion immediately back to the third tier.
Plymouth Argyle, who were relegated with United at Home Park on the final day of the last campaign, are backed by Sky Bet to finish in first position, while Mansfield Town, who were beaten in the play-off semi-finals, in second. The other relegated side, Walsall, are fifth at 11/1.
Salford City, who will be making their debut in the EFL, are sixth-favourites to get a third successive promotion. They were promoted after beating AFC Fylde 3-0 at Wembley Stadium in the play-off final, while Champions of the National League, Leyton Orient, sit in mid-table.
Play-off runners-up Newport County are 9/2 to go one better with promotion in 2019-20.
Meanwhile at the other end of the spectrum, the Iron's closest rivals Grimsby Town are favourites to drop out of the EFL at 5/2, while Morecambe, Crawley Town and Macclesfield Town are the other three sides tipped to struggle during the campaign.
