United fans will put in less miles following their team in Sky Bet League Two next season - 50 fewer than in the last campaign in fact.
Last season, Scunthorpe travelled 6,826 miles both ways in the 23 regular away league games.
In 2019-20 though, supporters going to every away league match will travel 6,776 miles to support the Iron.
Following relegation from League One, the Iron’s shortest trip next season will see them reunited with fierce local rivals Grimsby Town with the two sides facing each other in the league for the first time since 2004-05.
Bradford City is the third shortest trip, as it was last season, after also being relegated from League One while United’s longest trip will continue to be Plymouth Argyle for the third successive campaign after the Pilgrims also dropped down a division.
Meanwhile, Mansfield Town slots in as Scunthorpe’s second closest opponents following their play-off semi-final defeat against Newport County. The Exiles also remain in the division as one of the campaign’s longest journeys as they were edged out in the final by Tranmere Rovers after extra time.
Leyton Orient returned to the EFL after winning the National League to add another long journey for the side, while Salford City will compete in the league for the very first time after triumphing at Wembley Stadium in their play-off final against AFC Fylde.
