After much anticipation and build-up, the EFL draft fixtures for 2019-20 were finally revealed at 9.00am today – and Scunthorpe United’s Sky Bet League Two campaign will kick off with an home clash against Swindon Town on Saturday, 3rd August, 2019.
Our first away game of the campaign is a week later, when United make the trip to face Cheltenham Town on Saturday, August 10th.
United will face local rivals Grimsby Town for the first time in the league since 2005, with the away trip to Blundell Park on Saturday, December 21st, while we face them at Glanford Park on Saturday, March 7th, 2020.
After the pre-Christmas trip to face the Mariners, the festive period sees the Iron host Walsall on Thursday, December 26th before away encounters against Crewe Alexandra (Sunday, December 29th) and Oldham Athletic (Wednesday, January 1st, 2020)
The final weekend of the season sees us visit Morecambe on Saturday, April 25th.
