Scunthorpe United is delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Regan Slater on a season-long loan from Sheffield United.
He came through the academy at Bramall Lane, is a former captain of the Blades youth side, and has made three senior appearances for them.
In November 2016, he made his debut for Sheffield United against Grimsby Town, scoring in a 4-2 victory and becoming the youngest player to achieve this feat for the Blades.
The 19-year-old central midfielder impressed making 42 appearances during a loan spell at Carlisle United in League Two last season, scoring twice in a 4-0 home win over Swindon Town.
Slater played for the Iron in the pre-season friendly against Lincoln City on Saturday, scoring in the 42nd minute.
