We can confirm Scunthorpe United’s award-winning Community Sports and Education Trust are now permanently located in the Legends Lounge, after previously being in temporary accommodation.

SUFC Trust community manager Scott Maxfield said: “Our community scheme continues to go from strength to strength and we’re delighted to have a permanent base within the stadium. The new facilities will enable us to continue to grow the Trust as well as increase our engagement and impact in the local community.”

Meanwhile, further space has been created for the club’s management and coaching staff too.

The Iron can also confirm Study Parks will continue to be based at the Sands Venue Stadium.

Located at the club since 2003, Study Parks’ Study United FC learning centre will continue to offer a diverse range of services to schools which have a positive impact on the learning and achievement of pupils in North Lincolnshire.

Their projects also help young people in the region form a connection with the football club, as the players and management staff get involved with a number of courses and initiatives throughout the year.

Centre manager Jane Laws explained: “After approaching 17 years at the stadium supporting thousands of children, young people, schools and families, we are looking forward to a new era for Study Parks at SUFC.

“Our relocation plans will allow a new curriculum to be delivered in a new dedicated space. Plans for the new classroom are still under development but the aim is to provide a vibrant, exciting and stimulating environment for young people to learn, all the time using the power of football to engage, enthuse and develop new skills.”

The club have been able to locate Study Parks in what was formerly the OSG Bar. Consequently, though, this facility will now no longer be available to supporters on a matchday.

Alternatively, fans can visit the Iron Bar, which is open from 11.30am on a Saturday matchday, while there is also Sir Ian Botham Executive Lounge access available. Tickets for the latter can be purchased via
