Kelsey joins Sheffield FC on loan

27 September 2018

Iron goalkeeper Adam Kelsey has joined Northern Premier League Division One East side Sheffield FC on an initial one-month loan.

Kelsey joined United in October 2015 from Hull City, where he’d been for seven years, before signing academy terms in the summer of 2016.

He was offered, and signed, his first professional contract in January 2017 - 18-months ahead the end of his scholarship. He penned a two-and-a-half year deal with a further 12 months in the club's favour.

Last season, he was included in the League Football Education’s team of eleven for his performances both on and off the pitch.

The shot stopper joins the World’s first football club ahead of Saturday’s home encounter against Prescot Cables in the FA Trophy, for which Kelsey has permission from the Iron to play. He will also be in contention for their latest league game against Morpeth Town on Tuesday, October 2nd in the Evo-Stik League East Division.
