Dales: It's up to us to show what we can do

Winger Andy Dales says he and the rest of the players need to ‘roll our sleeves up and show what we can do’ as United head to Blackpool looking to bounce back from the loss to Wycombe this Tuesday.

United come into the game determined to show what they are capable of and get the three points after letting a two-goal lead slip to lose the game at Adams Park at the weekend.

“I just think we need to rebuild, and go from there really,” Dales told iFollow Iron. “We’ve lost three on the bounce now and it’s up to us to go to Blackpool on Tuesday and put it right.

“I think in the first 25 minutes we were really good but, after that, they got the three goals to win it. That’s what we need to do - be better in front of goal. We need to be a lot better at putting the chances away.”

Dales returned to the starting XI on Saturday, and set up Stephen Humphrys for United’s second goal.

“I always want to be in the team,” he said. “Every player does, but to get the assist is always nice. I want to try and bring some goals now, and also more assists.

“You have to take your chance, like I tried to do the other day, and hopefully if I get the call-up on Tuesday I’ll do that again.

“It’s going to be a different test to Wycombe, but we’ve got to roll our sleeves up and put a performance on that will hopefully get us the three points. It’s up to us now to show what we can do.”
