Kelsey rejoins Sheffield FC on loan

16 November 2018

Iron goalkeeper Adam Kelsey has rejoined Northern Premier League Division One East side Sheffield FC on loan until January 1st.

The 19-year-old made five appearances for the side during his initial one-month loan spell which expired at the end of October, including keep two clean sheets in a 1-0 away victory over Carlton Town and a 3-0 home win over Ossett United.

Kelsey joined United in October 2015 from Hull City, where he’d been for seven years, before signing academy terms in the summer of 2016.

He was offered, and signed, his first professional contract in January 2017 - 18-months ahead the end of his scholarship. He penned a two-and-a-half year deal with a further 12 months in the club's favour.

Last season, he was included in the League Football Education’s team of eleven for his performances both on and off the pitch.

The shot stopper re-joins the World’s first football club ahead of Saturday’s home encounter against AFC Mansfield in the Evo-Stik League East Division.
