Select Group Two match official Darren England will take charge of the Iron's pre-season encounter with Nottingham Forest.
The Barnsley-born official was an assistant in the Premier League and lined on the FA Cup final in 2015 between Arsenal and Aston Villa - his final game with a flag before swapping it permanently for a whistle.
As a referee, he was given the honour of officiating the League Two play-off final against Blackpool and Exeter City in May 2017, while he also took charge of the semi-final encounter between Exeter City and Lincoln City in May 2018.
Last season, he refereed a total of 39 matches, showing 149 yellow cards and just two reds.
England, 32, will be assisted by Chris Ward and Richard Wigglesworth, while Matthew Maddison will assume the role of fourth official.
