Scunthorpe United is delighted to announce the signing of attacker George Thomas on a season-long loan from Leicester City.
The 21-year-old started his career at Coventry City, where he made 53 appearances and scored 10 goals. This spell included the winning strike in the 2017 Checkatrade Trophy final win over Oxford United.
He built a strong reputation while at the Ricoh Arena, and subsequently moved to Leicester for an undisclosed fee last summer. He netted for the Foxes against the Iron in the Checkatrade Trophy last season.
A Wales international, he has one full cap to his name following appearances for the national team’s Under-17, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 teams.
