Chris Sarginson will be the man in the middle for the Iron's away league clash against Accrington Stanley.
The Staffordshire-based official arrives at Glanford Park for his fifth game of the campaign and his third in Sky Bet League One.
His first game of the campaign was an EFL Cup encounter which went all the way to penalties following a 2-2 draw between Cheltenham Town and Colchester United in which the Robins progressed. His latest encounter was at Home Park, ironically on the same weekend he visited last year when the Iron were 4-0 victors. This time, Sarginson took charge of another heavy Plymouth defeat as they lost 5-1 to Peterborough United.
He's taken charge of the Iron on 14 occasions in the last decade, most recently being that game in Devon 12 months ago. Three of those 14 games have been United versus Charlton Athletic. In total, he's shown 32 yellow cards and 4 reds in Scunthorpe United fixtures.
Meanwhile, he's refereed Accrington Stanley on 16 occasions - their most recent again being a 4-0 win. Of those 16 games, ten have been at the Crown Ground, making Saturday his eleventh trip there to referee the side. In those games, he's shown 47 yellow cards and two reds.
In 2017-18, he took charge of 43 games, issuing 136 yellow cards and five red. So far in this campaign, he has officiated in four encounters, showing 11 yellows and no reds.
On Saturday, Sarginson will be assisted by Nik Barnard and Lee Freeman, while Mark Dwyer has been appointed as the fourth official.
