Iron attacker Noel Burdett has joined Matlock Town on a youth loan.
The second-year professional, who is a product of United’s youth set-up, has signed for the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League until January.
The frontman spent time on loan at Frickley and Gainsborough Trinity during the 2016-17 season, gaining invaluable experience for his development, while he was on loan at Harrogate Town earlier in the campaign.
He leaves the Vanarama National League North side at the summit of the division having made one start and six substitute appearances at the club.
His debut for the side was as a 77th minute substitute in their 5-1 away victory over AFC Telford, while his solitary start was in a 2-0 away win at Bradford Park Avenue.
Burdett joins the Gladiators ahead of their FA Trophy away tie at Glossop North End at the weekend, before they travel to Ashton United in the league on October 31st.
