The Iron can confirm that Chris Lucketti has left the club to take up the vacant managerial position at Bury Football Club.
The departure comes after Bury agreed to meet the release terms of Lucketti’s contract with Scunthorpe United Football Club.
The 46-year-old joined the club ahead of the 2016-17 campaign to link up with manager Graham Alexander as his assistant following their time together at Fleetwood Town.
Lucketti, a former central defender, rejoins the Shakers where he spent six years as a player between 1993 and 1999, making 277 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring ten goals.
The role at Gigg Lane will be his first managerial appointment.
The club would like to place on record their thanks to Chris for his hard work since joining the club and wish him all the best for the future.
