Dean Whitestone will referee the Iron’s away clash with Charlton Athletic at the Valley on Tuesday night.
Whitestone last officiated a Scunthorpe match back in August 2016, when Graham Alexander’s men emerged victors against AFC Wimbledon.
So far throughout the 2016-17 campaign, the man from Northamptonshire has officiated 35 games and, in those, he’s shown 95 yellow cards and dismissed one player.
Last season, Whitestone was the man in the middle on 39 occasions, producing 119 yellow and two red cards in the process.
He’ll be joined on Tuesday by assistant referees Declan Ford and Matthew Lee, with David Rock taking up the role of fourth official.
