The Iron have made goalkeeper Matt Gilks their second signing of the summer, as he completes a free transfer move from Wigan Athletic.
The 35-year-old pens a two-year deal with the club, and joins with over 400 senior appearances to his name.
The shotstopper plied his trade at hometown club Rochdale between 2000 and 2007, making 197 appearances before moves to Norwich City and Blackpool.
Gilks signed for Wigan in January, making 13 appearances for the Latics in the Championship during the second half of last season. He also saved a penalty on his home debut at the DW Stadium, preserving a point in a goalless encounter against Preston North End.
