Following his short time at the latter of those teams, Crooks then made the move to the Crown Ground permanent. He signed an 18-month contract with Stanley.
Crooks’ performances for Accrington then caught the eye of Rangers boss Mark Warburton, who brought him to the Scottish giants in the summer of 2016.
After suffering an injury during pre-season, he has made three appearances for the Gers so far.
He has been handed the No 30 shirt and signs in time to be contention for the squad to face Northampton Town on Saturday.
