The man from West Yorkshire last officiated a Scunthorpe match back in February 2012, when United defeated Rochdale at Glanford Park.
Throughout the 2015-16 campaign, Madley was the man in the middle on 35 occasions - including in the Championship play-off final.
He’ll be joined on Saturday by assistant referees Marc Perry and Harry Lennard, with John Busby taking up the role of fourth official.
