Robert Madley will referee the Iron’s away clash with Southend United at Roots Hall this Saturday.
Madley has officiated 19 matches so far this season and, in those, he’s produced 82 yellow cards and dismissed two players.The man from West Yorkshire last officiated a Scunthorpe match back in February 2012, when United defeated Rochdale at Glanford Park.
Throughout the 2015-16 campaign, Madley was the man in the middle on 35 occasions - including in the Championship play-off final.
He’ll be joined on Saturday by assistant referees Marc Perry and Harry Lennard, with John Busby taking up the role of fourth official.
