David Webb has been appointed as the referee for the Iron’s Carabao Cup Round One match against Notts County on Tuesday night.
He was the match official for Scunthorpe’s 1-0 home victory over Bolton Wanderers in April last season.
Last season, Webb refereed 45 games, showing 119 yellow cards and three red cards.
The assistant referees for the game at Glanford Park are Graeme Fyvie and Michael Denton, with Wayne Grunnill as the fourth official.
