The 21-year-old winger wants to be playing in as many games as possible and to get his name on the scoresheet as soon as possible.

Adelakun shared all of this and more in an interview with iFollow Iron.

ON GETTING BACK TO COMPETITIVE GAMES…
HA: I was delighted to start. I couldn’t wait for the season to begin and now I just want to keep it going. I’ve just been filled with excitement for the last few games as I’ve missed it a lot.

ON HIS PERSONAL PERFORMANCES…
HA: I’ve been playing lots which is what I want to do. I want to carry on helping the team and to add a few goals, which will hopefully come if I carry on with what I’m doing. I just want to do everything I can to stay in the team.

ON HIS PERFORMANCE AGAINST ROCHDALE…
HA: I think we did well to come back and draw. It was a good result but I was struggling to get into the final third. I thought that I had one or two chances to break-in but I think that it will eventually come if I keep on trying.

ON HIS AND OTHERS’ PERFORMANCES OFF THE BENCH…
HA: It’s important as all of us work really hard and the fact that we can change a game and formation because we’re all a threat is such a big thing for the team.

ON HIS LINK-UP PLAY WITH THE FORWARDS…
HA: I have a lot of freedom to float around which has helped me to understand everyone else’s style of play more. It’s shown by the passes that have put people through on goal.

ON WHAT TO EXPECT FROM OXFORD…
HA: They’re always a tough team to play against but I think we need to focus on what we’re doing and make sure we get a result from a good performance.

ON HIS PERSONAL GOALS FOR THE SEASON…
HA: I would like to play and learn as much as I can. I’m still only 21 so I have a lot left to learn in the game. I think I had a decent pre-season and grabbed a few goals. I can’t say I loved the running but I got through it and now I feel fit. We have to do it as players and although it’s not the greatest thing, it gets us ready for what we are going into for the next eight months. We need to start on the front foot on Saturday and keep it up.
