CG: “Yes, without a doubt. I wasn’t in full-time training when I was in non-league so now having so much time working on my football is helping me massively. Obviously my fitness is a lot better because of it and I feel like I have improved and am getting used to the standard better every single week.”
Chr__istoph, via Instagram, asks: Which player is your best friend in the squad?
CG: “I get on well with everyone in the squad to be honest and it’s hard to pick a ‘best friend’. Scott Laird, Jack King and Tom Hopper were the first players in the squad that I bonded with and I’m still close with all of them now.”
@stefwani, via Twitter, asks: Could you believe it when Scunthorpe came in for you?
CG: “There was a bit of disbelief. I had a couple of calls when I was playing at non-league but when Scunthorpe came in for me I knew it was the best opportunity so I’m glad I picked it and I’ve already had a good number of games and I want to continue to help the team.”
@andyisagooden, via Twitter, asks: Which position do you think is your best?
CG: “I think I’m an out and out centre half now. I haven’t quite got the feet to be in midfield so I think being a centre half suits me the best. I like to attack the ball in the air, winning headers, and that always helps at the back and now I need to focus on improving my ability of the playing the ball out from the back.”
@willod1994, via Twitter, asks: What is the hardest part about being a footballer?
CG: “Getting over defeats is what I find the hardest. It’s also quite difficult when you come off the back of a bad performance or when you are out of the team for a while. But all in all there’s not too much for me to complain about and I’m loving it.”
@pwjavid, via Twitter, asks: Which football team do you support and do you still support them now?
CG: “I’m an Arsenal fan and I still support them. I was really hoping to come up against them in the cup to be honest.”
Elissa Mullin, via Facebook, asks: How well have you fitted in to the squad?
CG: “Ever since I came into the squad the players and staff have been great. I felt welcomed as soon as I came to the club and I’m really grateful for the way I have been treated and that’s a big reason as to why I’m loving my time at Scunthorpe.”
Paul Mullins, via Facebook, asks: Which League One team do you look forward to playing against the most?
CG: “Every game you look forward to and it’s hard to pick one out because to me they are all equally important to me.”
Nicola Brooks, via Facebook, asks: What is the best goal you have ever seen?
CG: “As an Arsenal fan I think I probably have to go with the Thierry Henry one against Manchester United. It was the one when he had his back to goal and took a touch to set himself up for the volley and turned to hit it into the top corner.”
Jordan Howell, via Facebook, asks: Which team mate is the most skilful?
CG: “It has to be Hakeeb Adelakun. I’ve never come up against a player with as quick feet as he has got and he has got past me a few times in training with those feet. Kevin van Veen isn’t too far behind to be fair but I think I have to go with Hakeeb.”
