STOCKBRIDGE HANDED FLEETWOOD CLASH

12 August 2016

Sebastian Stockbridge will referee United’s away clash with Fleetwood Town on Saturday.

Stockbridge refereed two Iron matches last season, against Bradford City and Bury respectively. In the latter of those encounters, the Tyne official showed a red card to Shakers midfielder Kelvin Etuhu.

Throughout the 2015-16 campaign, the referee produced 102 yellow and six red cards in the 30 games which he officiated.

He refereed a Fleetwood game too, in their 2-1 home loss to Port Vale at the end of September last year.

He’ll be joined on Saturday by assistant referees Danny Markham and Craig Taylor, with Phillip Dermott taking up the role of fourth official.
