DUNCAN TO REFEREE NOTTS CO GAME

9 August 2016

Scott Duncan will referee United’s EFL Cup first round clash with Notts County at Glanford Park.

This will be the first time Duncan has refereed an Iron match for over two years, after last being the man in the middle when Scunthorpe faced off against Fleetwood Town in January of 2014.

In fact it’s almost three years since the Northumberland official has took charge of a County match, with his most recent encounter being when Peterborough were 4-2 victors at Meadow Lane.

Throughout the 2015/2016 campaign, Duncan produced 97 yellow and four red cards in the 37 matches he officiated.

He will be assisted on Tuesday night by assistant referees Akil Howson and Daniel Robathan, along with fourth official Paul Thompson.
