The Iron have signed midfielder George Evans on loan from Manchester City until the end of the season. The 20-year-old takes the number 15 shirt, and we're just waiting on confirmation that he'll be available to face Leyton Orient on Saturday.
Last season, he made 25 appearances in all competitions and scored one goal while on loan at Crewe Alexandra.
Evans was spotted by City playing in a local tournament at the JJB Sports Dome along with fellow EDS starlet, George Glendon.
Evans appeared on the substitutes' bench in the UEFA Champions League match against Ajax at the Amsterdam Arena and would be the first player to have represented every level of the Academy if he makes a first-team appearance for the Citizens.
George has played for England’s Under 16s and featured in the Under-17 World Cup Finals in July 2011 and was called up for the under-19s two years ago.
