The Iron have appointed Stephen Dawson as their club captain for the 2015/16 season, with Jack King serving as vice-captain.
Dawson, 29, is a summer recruit from Rochdale and has vast experience of skippering Bury, Leyton Orient and Barnsley before his arrival at Glanford Park. He has led United in the majority of the pre-season friendlies so far.King, also 29, joined from Preston North End in the summer and has shown his leadership qualities since arriving. He skippered the side against Lincoln City in the Lincolnshire Senior Cup semi-final on Saturday when Dawson was rested.
