NOBLE-LAZARUS JOINS ON LOAN

12 November 2013

The Iron have signed Reuben Noble-Lazarus on loan from Barnsley.

The winger/striker, who is 20-years-old, joins from the Yorkshire club in a loan spell which will keep him in North Lincolnshire until January 1st - following the New Year's Day home fixture against Rochdale.

The pacey attacker has made 34 appearances for Barnsley's first team, scoring two goals.

He has just made one solitary appearance for the Tykes this season, failing to score.

At 15 years and 45 days old, he became the youngest player ever to feature in a Football League match when he came on as a substitute during Barnsley's 3–0 Championship defeat by Ipswich Town on 30 September 2008.

Noble-Lazarus comes in to bolster the United strike force and goes straight into contention for Saturday's home tie against Accrington Stanley.
