Scunthorpe United would like to confirm some car parking amendments ahead of this weekend's home league clash against Altrincham, with changes made to ensure supporter safety on our Community Day.
Access to park in the West Car Park (next to the Threadgold Stand) via the front of the stadium (where the Wroot Homes Iron Bar is) will cease at 11.30am, ensuring the safety of an increased crowd which is likely to be outside the Attis Arena, with entertainment set-up down that side of the car park, with more details to follow in due course.
From 11.30am until 4pm, access to park in the West Stand car park will be granted by driving around the back of the stadium, via the East car park and alongside the Mortz Stand, and round the back of the AMS Stand (away end).
Once the turnstiles open at 4pm, this access will be closed, and there will be no further traffic able to park in the West Car Park.
Any supporters who have a space in the West Car Park will be asked to park in the East Car Park, subject to availability, after 4pm. Supporters who park in the blue zone opposite the Wroot Homes Iron Bar will be able to park in any remaining blue zone spaces, or the East Car Park.
Supporters wishing to take advantage of their usual space in the West Car Park are asked to make sure they arrive in plenty of time, preferably before 3.30pm, but definitely before 4pm.
Supporters who use our first come, first serve disabled bays will be able to do so as normal, with the exception of the recently installed spaces next to the Wroot Homes Iron Bar, with those not in use for this particular game. Alternative provision has been made within the West Car Park for an additional allocation of spaces for the game, with those supporters requested to arrive early as these spaces remain first come, first served.
We thank all supporters for your cooperation, and apologise for any inconvenience to this amendment for this weekend's game.
