The Enterprise National League has confirmed Iron boss Andy Butler as a nominee for January's manager of the month accolade. As well as this, midfielder Zain Westbrooke has been nominated for the player of the month award.
Across the month of January, the Iron made an almost perfect start to 2026 with two wins and one draw from their three league fixtures, following postponements of fixtures against Sutton United due to the freezing conditions at the start of the month and Truro City due to United's progression into the Fifth Round of the Isuzu FA Trophy, in which they were defeated by Horsham.
In the three games this month, Scunthorpe scored a total of eight goals, with Westbrooke contributing on two occasions in two massive victories against Boreham Wood and Forest Green Rovers. In a month that saw Butler's boys defeat two of the division's front-runners, the Iron were denied the perfect month by a last-minute equaliser from their opponents in a 2-2 draw with Morecambe, although that doesn't subtract from a fantastic month that saw them rise from sixth to fourth in the league standings at the time of the full-time whistle blowing against Forest Green, dropping back to sixth by virtue of not playing in the league since.
Their release on Wednesday confirmed four selections, including United's gaffer, along with four player of the month nominees, including the Doncaster Rovers loanee, as follows:
Enterprise National League Manager of the Month
- Andy Butler (Scunthorpe United)
- Stuart Maynard (York City)

- Adam Lakeland (FC Halifax Town)
Enterprise National League Player of the Month
- Zain Westbrooke (Scunthorpe United)
- Will Harris (FC Halifax Town)
- Ollie Pearce (York City)

Winners will be notified in due course, with the announcements coming next week.
