Rose is a product of the Posh academy and despite his young age of 18 has been a consistent starter for both the Peterborough United Under-21’s and Under-18’s sides in recent years. The versatile defender has appeared in a handful of first-team games and impressed Posh fans over the course of the summer when he appeared in four of the Cambridgeshire club’s pre-season matches.

After being a key figure in the Peterborough Under-18’s side that lifted the Professional Development League Cup in 2023, Rose would spend time on a work experience loan with Northern Premier League Division One Midlands side Corby Town and would go on to thrive at Steel Park making 11 appearances.

Rose is ranked highly amongst the Posh academy and prior to joining the Iron his parent club stated this: “Rose is a player who has progressed through the schoolboy programme within the Academy. A versatile player, who can play in a number of different positions. He’s a real honest, aggressive defender, comfortable on the ball and intelligent to play in different areas.”

Oli takes the number 37 jersey, and goes straight into contention for Saturday's trip to face Chorley.
