The Iron are back in action as they look to move on from the disappointment of conceding a late equaliser conceded against Blyth Spartans on Tuesday night.

The Iron went 1-0 up in the 79th minute when Dion Sembie-Ferris assisted Danny Elliot, but for Will McGowan's strike to restore parity in the fifth minute of additional time.

IRON TEAM NEWS

United have Tyler Denton available for selection following suspension, although he has endured an illness throughout the week, as has Jacob Butterfield and other players in the squad.

Jason Law is hoping to step up his recovery and return to grass next week following a toe injury, while Callum Roberts' hamstring injury has been declared as worse than first feared. The former Aberdeen winger is set for an extended spell on the sidelines, with Jimmy Dean hoping to see him available in April.

THE OPPOSITION

The reverse fixture was a day for the Iron to forget, losing 1-0 away from home, conceding to now manager Craig Mahon in the 18th minute, as Curzon picked up all three points.

The Nash will be a very difficult challenge, coming to North Lincolnshire in seventh in the table, currently occupying the final play-off spot. Away from home, Curzon have been fantastic as well with the second best away form in the league as they have picked up 26 points from 16 games.

Former Iron player Jimmy Spencer is Curzon’s number nine, captain and fan favourite. As far as goals go Curzon share them out quite evenly with Spencer having just seven goals this season. Despite this it’s clear that Curzon have a multitude of players who can put the ball in the back of the net, such as Alex Kenyon, William Hayhurst and Mahon, and they have scored 43 in the league and find themselves in the race for promotion to the National League.
