Scunthorpe United wishes to clarify the changes made to the west car park ahead of the Iron's opening home league encounter of the season against Marine AFC this Saturday.
In past seasons, purchasing a space in the West Car Park has allocated supporters a bay number for the season. While every effort was made to ensure supporters are parked in their allocated bay number in this car park, this was not guaranteed, and often not possible, leading to knock-on effects with other supporters and guests parking in incorrect bays.
Moving forward into the new season, we are installing a zone system, whereby generally purchased tickets will be allocated a colour zone. We will have different coloured zones for hospitality guests, players and staff, sponsors and season ticket holders.
By purchasing a West Car Park season ticket you are guaranteed a parking space in the car park within the zone you are allocated. Supporters who purchase a seasonal car parking pass for the west car park will be allocated the BLUE ZONE as shown in the graphic below.
We have extended the blue zone to include spaces at the top end of the west car park, and also at the bottom, and opposite the Iron Bar, meaning there are more spaces to choose from on a matchday for these seasonal supporters, with each space first come, first served, but all who have a pass will be guaranteed a space.
Scunthorpe United has been working hard with Floor + Wall to complete a number of jobs, such as this one, with the other coloured zones reserved for club staff, sponsors, box holders and players, along with visiting guests of the opposition. This process is currently in progress, with the majority of the blue zone complete, along with the orange zone.
Along with the coloured zones, the club will also be installing an additional four disabled parking bays to the west of the Iron Bar, which will be available to supporters - again on a first come, first served basis on a matchday.
For the avoidance of doubt, none of the parking bays will be numbered going forward. The new zones will be clearly marked on the parking bays, and there will be signs installed in the coming weeks to further signify the changes.
LIMITED WEST CAR PARK SPACES AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE
Supporters are still able to purchase their seasonal passes for the West Car Park for the 2024-25 season.
There is limited availability for new bookings to be made in the area. The limited availability is first come, first served for new bookings, the car park costs £130 for the whole season and guarantees parking for all 23 home league games plus complimentary parking for any cup competitions or play-off games involving the Iron as well.

COLLECT YOUR CAR PARK PASSES
Supporters who have purchased their seasonal passes for the 2024-25 season may now collect their car park passes from the ticket office.
These passes will state the coloured zone and season, and you will be required to show this to a steward on entering the car park.
