Most recently, he was the manager at Gainsborough Trinity, guiding the team to the Northern Premier League, Premier Division play-offs last season, before departing the side last month.
Spending four years at the club, after signing from Blackpool, making 174 appearances, scoring 12 goals, Bish - as he was known as by many - assisted in stabilising the club in League One following promotion in 2013-14, before being part of the charge up the league, mounting a couple of play-off attempts in the seasons that followed.
Prior to joining the club, he also played for Whitby, Scarborough, York, Barnet and Notts County, while he joined Mansfield Town after leaving in 2018.
