The Iron turn their attention to the Isuzu FA Trophy on Saturday, entering the competition in the second round, hosting Darlington (3pm kick-off).

The first of three home games in a row, Jimmy Dean will be looking for a response from his players as they aim to bounce back from a disappointing defeat in midweek at King's Lynn Town, which ended a six-game unbeaten run.

IRON TEAM NEWS

Defender Will Evans picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in midweek, but will be available for this game, as his ban will not kick in until midweek.

Despite being stretchered off in midweek, Callum Roberts gained a cut above his eye, but manager Jimmy Dean confirmed it wasn't concussion and would be available to play.

Alfie Beestin edges ever closer to a return to action following a second injection this week, which has shown no ill-effects.

THE OPPOSITION

Darlington come into the game off a heavy defeat in midweek, losing 8-0 against Chorley having had 10 players for the majority of the match.

Previous to that, the Quakers did pick up all three points against Chester, ending their long unbeaten run.
