He said: "I'm very disappointed. It reminded me of the Barnet match a little bit, where we got drawn into their game and they were better at it than us. We never settled on the ball.
"We had our overload out wide and didn't use it enough. I was screaming through the whole game to start doing it, and we didn't.
"We needed to get out quicker and put pressure on the ball, and the only time we didn't do it properly, they got in down the side and scored their first, while you can't legislate for the second goal, which was comedic and embarrassing.
"I'm embarrassed for the fans to be honest. 346 came today and while we competed and showed endeavour, we have to show know-how as well. It has to be better than that.
"To concede so quickly after letting in the first certainly didn't help, but it's not the first time that's happened this season. We had chances to get back into it. Gez (McDonagh) has got to score with that free header (late in the game).
"We could have had a penalty as well, but those things just don't seem to be going for us at the moment."
Speaking about the travelling fans, he added: "It's unbelievable support and I'm gutted for them that we couldn't give them a positive result. All I can say is stick with us. There will be ups and downs because of where we are in the league but there's still plenty of hope there."
