Two goals from Damien Mozika earned Scunthorpe United their first league win of the season at home to Yeovil in 2011.
Kieran Agard hit the post for the visitors before midfield man Mozika put Scunthorpe ahead on the stroke of half time, firing home from close range.
Yeovil quickly levelled in first-half injury time with Paul Wotton's penalty following Paul Reid's trip on Agard.
But Mozika's powerful finish from 18 yards eight minutes into the second half restored the hosts' lead.
Oliver Norwood hit the bar for the Iron, whose keeper Sam Johnstone then denied Steve MacLean a late equaliser.
