Andy Keogh struck twice as Scunthorpe saw off Huddersfield on this day in 2005 and leap-frogged over them to the top of League One.
A Peter Beagrie penalty put the Iron ahead after Paul Rachubka hauled down Billy Sharp in the area and Keogh doubled their lead before half-time, capitalising on a defensive error following a flick on by Sharp before slotting past the 'keeper.
Pawel Abbott pulled Huddersfield back into contention when he stroked home a penalty in the 66th minute following a foul on the right-hand corner of the box.
But Matt Sparrow headed Scunthorpe 3-1 in front after Cleveland Taylor hit the bar following a mazey run and Keogh grabbed his second seven minutes from time as his header proved too hot to handle.
