Capable of playing in defence and midfield, the 20-year-old has signed a deal until the summer of 2024.
Speaking to Iron Player about his new two-year contract, Rowe said: “I’m buzzing. I’ve had a bit of downtime in the summer with us not training obviously, just taking some time to clear our minds from what happened last season. However, I think it’s time to rebuild as a club and get the club back to where it belongs.
“I’ve spent some time with the family, getting away from everything and am now looking forward to getting straight back into it.
“It’s only a week or so now (until pre-season), obviously we’ve been doing some work ourselves, but I'm ready to come back in now. The gaffer loves hard-working players and I'm sure we’ll all be trying our hardest to get back up next season and training our hardest when we come back in.
“Obviously I love the club, I've been here for three years now, this is my first professional club and I was gutted to see what happened last year, especially being part of it, so I want to be part of the group that gets us back up."
Speaking about the new signing Andrew Boyce, who joined last week, Rowe stated: “I think the fresh faces will do nothing but good to us lads, especially us young lads.
“Seeing players like him come in with the experience he’s got will definitely help us along the way.”
Speaking about his targets for next season, Rowe revealed: ”My aim is to play as many games as I can like I did last season but the main thing we need is the results.
“I’ve missed that winning feeling, I’m hungry for it and last year has made me even more hungry. I'm ready to go now”.
