The Iron will start life in the Vanarama National League by welcoming Yeovil Town to Glanford Park on Saturday, August 6, 2022.
The draft fixtures were released in full at 9am today, revealing the Somerset-based side will make the journey to North Lincolnshire for the encounter for the first time since February 2015.
Our first away game of the campaign is a week later, when United make the trip to face Maidenhead United on Saturday, August 13, 2022, before making a similar long distance trip three days later to take on Woking in the first of nine Tuesday night encounters throughout the season.
The Iron’s longest trip of the season is to Torquay United, with that journey set to take place on Saturday, October 1, 2022, with the reverse fixture on Saturday, April 1, 2023.
Scunthorpe will make their shortest journey of the season over the festive period, facing Chesterfield twice in the space of six days. The Iron first welcome the Spireites to Glanford Park on Boxing Day before playing the reverse fixture on New Year’s Day*.
The final weekend of the season sees us visit Dorking Wanderers on Saturday, April 29, 2023.
*Home clubs can move their fixture to Monday, January 2, 2023 should both clubs agree to the rearrangement
