First team manager Jimmy Dean, first team coach Andy Butler along with Connor Smith, Danny Whitehall and Fin Shrimpton journeyed up to the hospital.
The Iron have been big supporters of the Health Tree Foundation over the years, with the squad donating funds each year following a whip round, while United also raised £3,000 during lockdown following a Call of Duty: Warzone fundraiser.
The players and staff were thanked for their generous donation of £295 by Jemma from the Health Tree Foundation. The donation will be put in the "Big Thanks Scunthorpe United Fund" which can be used by any ward or department within the hospital for a wish.
The Health Tree Foundation works in partnership with the Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust. The donation will play a small part in ensuring they can provide acute hospital and community services to a population of over 400,000 people across North and North East Lincolnshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire.
