Despite the result, Ogle pleased to return to action

After defeat at home to Notts County on Saturday, fit-again defender Reagan Ogle provided his reaction to the game.

He said: “It’s never nice, especially when you go 1-0 up and the scoreline ends like that. We had a game plan and in the first 25 minutes we executed it perfectly, we frustrated them and forced them into mistakes and that’s where we got the goal from. After the goal, we got a bit giddy and stopped doing what was working and got punished for it.”

He added, “They’re a hell of a side and everyone knows that, they are one of the best sides in the league. They come and they pass the ball, no matter what they don’t change their game plan and they do it very well. For some reason, we stopped doing what was working - it showed and we got punished.”

Speaking about the goals, he said: “There are things once again, and we all keep saying it, that we should stop and it’s these little things where we’re causing ourselves problems."

Regarding the week just gone and how things were for the players, Ogle said: “It’s been a stressful week for all of us involved. Hopefully now, everybody can push forward in the right direction. The lads are going to try and take it and use it as a positive and reset."

When asked about his previous back injury, he stated: "I don’t like to sit still and four weeks with my back was painful but the physios have been great. They haven’t been pushing me and they were ready when I was ready. I feel like we’ve timed it perfectly, I had no problems this week training and we go from there. It’s just about getting back to full match fitness now.”

He was asked about how he found his Iron spell before his injury, and he said: “I was enjoying it and that’s what probably hurt me the most. I was enjoying my football, the results weren’t going our way but I was just getting to the levels that I wanted. You get these set-backs and we go from there. I have to get back to where I was before.”

Speaking about the game this Saturday against Yeovil, Ogle said: “We’ve proved we can beat them but we have to go there and do it again."

Finally, on there being a larger home crowd, he added: “It’s brilliant. We’ve been told about the stats from when the announcement was made on Thursday and that’s what we like to hear. We want as many fans in the ground as we can but I understand we need to reciprocate on the pitch and that’s what we plan on doing.”
