Harry Lewis (left-winger), Jake Balme (goalkeeper), Oliver Lobley (left-back, centre-back, left central midfielder), Jack Moore-Billam (versatile in midfield and attack), Ethan Young (centre-back) and Ben Franklin (central midfielder) will all begin their two-year scholarship with the club when the team returns for pre-season training.
A number of those players have already been involved within the Under-18's across the 2019-20 season, with the youth side fielding a number of 15 and 16-year-olds particularly in the latter stages of the campaign just gone.
Academy Manager Tony Daws said: "We have six new players waiting to start their two-year football and education scholarship.
"For these boys it is an exciting time as they look forward to this great opportunity and the club wish them all every success in their football and also in the college education."
Scunthorpe United Football Club would like to wish all those players the best of luck ahead of their apprenticeships, which is inclusive of those players who will be entering their second of their two-year scholarships.
We'll feature Academy Manager Tony Daws' profiles of the new scholars on the website next week.
