Carl Boyeson will be the man in the middle for the Iron's first-ever home league encounter against Forest Green Rovers in Sky Bet League Two this weekend.
The East Yorkshire-based official will take charge of his 22nd game of the season and his eighth in Sky Bet League Two. Boyeson is one of the EFL's longest serving officials.
On the opening day of the campaign, he refereed Crewe's 2-1 away win at Oldham Athletic, showing three yellow cards. Meanwhile his latest fixture was on Tuesday, February 11th when he issued six cautions in Peterborough's 4-0 home win over Southend United.
Boyeson last took charge of an Iron game back on Boxing Day when the side lost to Walsall at the Sands Venue Stadium. One yellow card was shown in the game, to the Saddlers' Liam Kinsella.
He's taken charge of ten United fixtures over the course of 17 years - his first back on Boxing Day in 2002. He's shown a total of 37 yellow cards and one red in those nine games.
Meanwhile, he's taken charge of Forest Green on five occasions, most recently last March when they lost 3-0 away from home at Morecambe. In total, across the quintet of matches, he's shown 17 yellow cards and one red.
In 2018-19, he took charge of 36 games, issuing 115 yellow cards and six reds. So far this campaign, he's shown 57 yellows and three reds in 21 encounters.
On Saturday, Boyeson will be assisted by Matthew Smith and Hristo Karaivanov, while Declan Ford has been appointed as the fourth official.
